🟢 What is the Orivon Project

What is the Orivon Project? what are it’s goals? it’s philosophy? is it a community project? can I get involved into that?

All of there questions finds a reply here

Introduction

Orivon is the idea of creating a way to make the Web3 ready to the big public and as much user friendly as possible, my dad should use the Web3 nearly to the same way he does by opening his bank app, without all of the headaches that Web3 can cause for newbies. Unfortunately as right now there aren’t a good envrioment to make it all easy

There are a lot of DApps, and to find one the most trustable source is searching on google “Reddit DApp for x y z operation”, and still, you don’t know how trustable they are, or maybe they are backed by centralized operators (USDT), then you hear about TERRA Luna crashing, you hear about FTX, so you think that crypto is dangerous and a scam…

Acutally, 90% of the Ethereum DApps you use are not Web3
You may think that im crazy, but let me explain:

Most DApps, are Web2.5, you open uniswap.org, centralized DNS, then you contact the centalized uniswap servers, you hope that they aren’t hacked, and then you make your swap from USDT to WBTC. Fine, but for whatever reason you are not liked by USA Government, so your WBTC get frozen.

As today for any non-tech user, Web3 is too hard to be used

What devs would love

Imagine if you could develop atomic swap for Monero/ETH/BTC as a Website: like a atomicswap.eth and then you focus only into implementing the protocol, wallet is already builtin on users Browsers, user may use hardware wallet, or mnemonic, or anything else, you don’t need to care about it, Browser handles that, the same goes for Monero Network access, it’s already builtin in the user Browser, just focus on the protocol

You can find way more examples here Exploring Orivon Web3 Browser real world uses, but I hope that explains enough

So often Web3 developers has to reinvent the wheel.

Current Web2 Browser does not enable any of this, storage access is limited, raw network access isn’t available at all, and many other vital functionalities aren’t available/allowed

Web1, Web2 and Web3 Browsers
Have you ever heard “Read, Write, Own”?
Web1 Browsers allowed you see web content on-the-fly and without downloading files
Web2 Browsers allowed to interact with web without downloading any external program
Web3 Browsers? will allow to Own web content without any external program
That’s a matter of user experience, and I believe it’s a pattern willing to repeat

The Orivon Project

The main goal of the Orivon Project is to set goods standards for Web3 surfing and a powerful ecosystem for both developers and users
That why other than the simple “Orivon Browser” we will release technical documentations for the various standards, completly free license, for the benefit of the world, hoping that our work makes Web3 better for everyone

Merits and community
Everyone can get involved into the Orivon Project, and I believe that who has merits, has to be recompensated sooner or later, a DAO will be probably made up, a lot of things would benefit from it, like building, mantaining, services like Trustlessity score, Appstore etc…

Everyone who got involved will hopefully receive a fair role or power in the DAO

Anyway an eventual DAO will be organized in a way to promote long term results, keep Orivon enough neutral and with sane values, always wanting the best for the Web3 world and never abuse a potential future Orivon role of advantage to get unfair profits off the Web3 world.
These are core values that everyone signing into Orivon Project should never forget.

The Orivon Browser

Finally, we are working for the Browser design, collecting feedbacks, interest, and desire into getting involved, you can read here for technical details:
